Many organisations form partnerships with The Infants’ Home to help us deliver education, care and health services to children and families facing hardship. One of our most successful partnership programs is The Infants’ Home corporate volunteering program.
Volunteering at The Infants’ Home usually involves a mix of physical indoor and outdoor activities to help maintain and support our operations. The infants’ Home have 10 playgrounds, 5 ECEC centres, lots of equipment and extensive gardens that require regular maintenance as well as a schedule of annual events and events and activities.
Volunteers help to maintain the buildings and grounds, raise funds, cook BBQs, assist with events and support the children’s programs.
Tasks may include: Gardening, leaf-blowing, washing toys, cleaning out sheds, painting, constructing shelving, mowing lawns, covering books in contact, helping set up/pack up for events, cooking and serving BBQs, craft, administration, and tidying up.
Breaks: Morning tea (biscuits, tea and coffee available) 11.00-11.30; Lunch (Platter of mixed sandwiches) 1- 1.45, all meals and refreshments are included in the cost for the day.
Cost up to 10 people: $250 +GST,
Cost up to 15 people: $350 +GST.
Additional requirements:
– Clothes for outdoor/gardening work: closed toed, comfortable shoes; hat and sunglasses
– Corporate t-shirt or hat if available (volunteers must be clearly identified for child protection reasons)
– Filtered water is available on site, BYO reusable cup or bottle
