About the opportunity

Spend a day at the Indigigrow native farm and nursery, working alongside experienced horticulturalists.

Enjoy farm work – planting, weeding, mulching, propagating in the native tree nursery and learn about Sydney’s original eco-system- the Endangered Eastern Suburbs Banksia eco-system.

The cost is $75 per person.


Typical Program for the Day

9.30am

Welcome & smoking ceremony

9.45am – 10.30am

Farm work on the lemon myrtle and native lime trees  -planting, weeding and mulching

10.30am – 10.50am

Morning tea – harvest your own lemon myrtle tea

10.50am – 12.30pm

Propagating in the native plant nursery and learn about Sydney’s original eco-system -the Endangered Eastern Suburbs Banksia eco-system.

12.30 – 1.30

Lunch (byo or you can order from local café)

1.30pm-3pm

Planting and propagating

3.15 – 3.30pm

Afternoon tea and talk about how we can work together to save the endangered ecosystem and develop an effective corporate-charity partnership


Additional requirements:

Volunteers will need to obtain a Working With Children check from Service NSW which is free for volunteers.
BYO lunch or money for a cafe order.
